Tjarrambayi Arts is an Aboriginal‑owned and led art and cultural enterprise in Kununurra that supports Aboriginal artists to create, connect, heal and earn income through their art practice in a culturally safe and inclusive environment.

The Tjarrambayi Arts Art Workshop is a hands‑on, small‑group cultural art experience where visitors learn directly from Kimberley Aboriginal artists. It is designed to be relaxed, welcoming and meaningful, not rushed or “mass tourism”. The workshop focuses on learning by doing, with time for conversation, questions and cultural learning alongside artmaking.

During the session, your artist facilitator will guide you through a simple creative process using provided materials, while sharing cultural insights and the role of art in story, identity and connection. Tjarrambayi Arts operates with strong respect for cultural integrity and the protection of cultural knowledge and expression, and this is reflected in how the workshop is delivered.

This workshop is intentionally kept small to protect cultural energy and support genuine engagement. Group numbers are capped at 8 participants, keeping the experience personal and allowing the artist to support each person. Materials are included.

No prior art experience is needed; this workshop is suitable for beginners and visitors who simply want to learn, create and connect. By booking, you are directly supporting Aboriginal artists and an Aboriginal‑led cultural tourism business in the East Kimberley.
