Tjarrambayi Arts is an Aboriginal‑owned and led art gallery and cultural tourism experience based in Kununurra, sharing Kimberley culture through art and storytelling.

This one‑hour Gallery and Storytelling Tour offers visitors an intimate and respectful introduction to Aboriginal art, culture and lived experience. Led by Aboriginal artists and cultural storytellers, the tour takes place inside the Tjarrambayi Arts gallery, a working cultural space where artists create, yarn, heal and earn income through their art practice.

As you move through the gallery, your guide will share the stories behind selected artworks, explaining how culture, Country, identity and contemporary life are expressed through painting and design. You’ll learn about Kimberley Aboriginal culture, the role of storytelling, and how art is used to pass on knowledge, maintain connection to Country and support wellbeing.

This experience is conversational rather than scripted. Guests are encouraged to listen, reflect and ask questions in a culturally safe environment. Small group sizes allow for genuine cultural exchange and deeper understanding, making this experience suitable for visitors seeking meaningful Aboriginal‑led cultural tourism rather than a large commercial tour.
