Tjarrambayi Arts is an Aboriginal‑owned and led art and cultural tourism enterprise based in Kununurra, sharing Kimberley culture through art, storytelling and creative practice.

The Combined Gallery Tour and Art Workshop offers a deeper cultural experience, bringing together storytelling, gallery exploration and hands‑on artmaking in one immersive session. This experience is designed for visitors who want to both learn and create, guided by Aboriginal artists in a respectful and culturally safe environment.

The experience begins with a guided gallery and storytelling tour, where Aboriginal artists share the stories behind selected artworks on display. You will learn how culture, Country, identity and lived experience are expressed through art, and how storytelling remains a living part of Kimberley Aboriginal culture today. The gallery is a working cultural space, not just a display area, allowing for genuine connection and conversation.

Following the gallery tour, guests take part in a hands‑on art workshop led by the same Aboriginal artists. Using provided materials, you’ll be guided through a simple creative process inspired by techniques, patterns and approaches used by the artists. No prior art experience is required — the workshop is suitable for beginners and those simply wanting to explore creativity in a relaxed setting.

This combined experience is intentionally delivered in small groups to allow time for conversation, questions and meaningful engagement. Group sizes are kept small to protect cultural energy and ensure each participant feels supported throughout the experience.

All materials are included. What you create is yours to take home as a personal reminder of your time at Tjarrambayi Arts.

Cultural protocols are respected at all times. Some stories, symbols or information may not be shared publicly, and photography restrictions may apply depending on cultural permissions.

By booking this combined experience, you are directly supporting Aboriginal artists and an Aboriginal‑owned cultural enterprise, helping artists share their stories and culture on their own terms while creating sustainable income through ethical cultural tourism.
